  • Filters are usually located near the bottom of the furnace on one of the sides. Sometimes you may find the filter located inside the blower compartment of the furnace.

  • There may be various reasons why a furnace quits working but here are a couple of things to try before you panic. First, you can try turning your furnace off at the power or breaker switch and turning it back on. This will re-set the unit and that may be all it needs. Secondly, if you have a thermostat with batteries it is possible you need new ones. Try changing those out to see if this starts your unit back up.

  • Both units should be serviced annually. Generally you would service your furnace in the fall and your AC unit in the spring.
